Not a great documentary, perhaps not even a documentary, but it certainly deals with religion the way it should be dealt with, mockery. -

I would return to the Kingdom Hall full of hope that the entire building was obliterated and no hope of ever being rebuilt. -

Patients and their relatives are happy, in spite of the substandard care. People can always be trained to be happy with little. In fact, JW's are excellent at giving and receiving that type of training.
The fact that the staff does not meet professional standards should be expected from an organization that discourages higher education and worldly professionals.
The report is quite consistent with what we all know about JW culture.

What's More Important...Taking care of immigrants or the needy in your country?
by minimus ini say take care of the needy ones first like our veterans and homeless and mentally ill, and then....take care of those not from this country.

Beth Serim,
What's your explanation for the scenario you painted in your last comment? People love strangers more than their own? Your scenario doesn't quite fit well with human nature. Something is missing

The big mystery is:
If it is true, as implied by the opening piece and several comments, that governments are more willing to help immigrants than their own citizens, why is that? Something just doesn't fit well, unless we believe that people tend more towards xenophilia than xenophobia, which defies common sense
Assuming that greater help is given to immigrants than citizens, I would say that there is an economical incentive behind, not just for private companies, but for the government and people in general. All predominantly "Caucasian" populations are not growing fast enough to keep their economies healthy and keep up with the huge bills of the retired population. The immigrant population generally is younger and therefore has longer productive lives. It's all about dollars and sense.

KM May 1974 p. 3 How Are You Using Your Life? - Yes, since the summer of 1973 there have been new peaks in pioneers every month. Now there are 20,394 regular and special pioneers in the United States, an all-time peak. That is 5,190 more than there were in February 1973! A 34-percent increase! Does that not warm our hearts? Reports are heard of brothers selling their homes and property and planning to finish out the rest of their days in this old system in the pioneer service. Certainly this is a fine way to spend the short time remaining before the wicked world’s end. 1 John 2:17.

Four cruel sisters? If this number keeps going up, then you have to consider the possibility that the problem is with you. You may expect too much from other JW's, or even other people in general. This post may bring the count to five cruel people.
